Pre-oxidized Fiber Felt (PAN pre-oxidized felt) is a needle-punched nonwoven material made from stabilized polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fiber. It is a high-performance, quasi-noncombustible material with excellent flame resistance. When exposed to an open flame, it carbonizes without melting, dripping, or showing obvious thermal shrinkage. The continuous working temperature is 250–350℃, and it can withstand extreme short-term thermal shock. It is flexible and easy to cut, with low thermal conductivity, providing reliable thermal and flame-barrier performance. Compared with Nomex felt, it offers better flame retardancy at a competitive cost. Common applications include EV battery fire insulation, welding-splash protection, industrial high-temperature barriers, and flame-retardant cushioning.
